A new countCAM4 firmware package has been released providing expanded and improved functionality. This new package includes multiple Camera Mode and Counter Mode improvements geared to help you increase efficiency in your data collection process. These improvements include:

• Camera Mode
  • 'Delete All' Function.
  • On-device video trimming.
  • File sizes displayed for each collected video.
• Counter Mode 
  • Added 'LocationID' to all Counter Mode reports.
  • Support for Metric (Meters, KMH) input and reporting.
  • New UI for separate near/far lane distance measurements allowing for handling of left side of road driving and roadways with medians.
• General Improvements
  • WIFI and GPS handling updates.

Camera Mode Updates

A DELETE ALL option has been added to the Videos page allowing for your countCAM4 to be quickly cleared of all videos reducing the time needed to prepare a device for redeployment.

On-board video trimming is now available. Simply click the scissors icon, displayed in each collected video, to access the video trimming tool. Use the slider to set the start and end times desired and click Download Trimmed Video. Your selected time period will be processed and downloaded to your device. More details on the new video trimming tool can be found in the Help Center.

Counter Mode Updates

A Location ID input has been added to each study allowing for improved MS2 data flow. This allows for Counter Mode reports to be directly uploaded to MS2 without the need for additional modifications.

Multiple enhancements for international customers have been added including an Imperial and Metric units of measure toggle. This allows users to select their input/output units to be switched between MPH/feet and KMH/meters.

Left Hand-Driving is now supported through improved distance handling. By inputting the distance to each lane of traffic flow, left hand driving countries can now output data without workarounds. It also allows for two-lane bi-directional roadways with medians and non-standard layouts to be collected on a single output report.

General Improvements

Improved WIFI and GPS handling have been implemented. This fixes a WIFI connection bug and dropped GPS locks that occurred on some units.
