How do I trim videos using the countCAM2 Toolbox

The countCAM2 Toolbox has a trimming function allowing users to remove video from the start and end of a joined video file. This function should be used when processing videos utilizing the countPAD/countPRO software package to ensure full functionality of the program.

Video instructions can be found HERE

  1. Open the countCAM2 Toolbox and click the TRIM VIDEO button at the bottom of the main page.
  2. Select the video to trim using the dropdown list on the left of the program or by changing the starting folder tree using the button on the top right.
  3. Once the video is selected a screenshot of the video will appear to the right
  4. Enter the start date and time of the video as shown in the screenshot. The end date and time will automatically populate.
  5. Two new start/stop date and time sections will appear at the bottom of the program.
  6. Enter the desired start/stop date and time for the video file and click TRIM to start trimming the video.
  7. The trimming process will occur in the background and may take several minutes to complete. The process is complete when a new file appears in the video list, shown to the left of the start/stop date and time area. The file will have the same name as the original video file with "-t" at the end.
  8. Check the trimmed video file to ensure it opens and runs without errors. Once confirmed delete the original file.
