The countCAM2 Toolbox has a trimming function allowing users to remove video from the start and end of a joined video file. This function should be used when processing videos utilizing the countPAD/countPRO software package to ensure full functionality of the program.
Video instructions can be found HERE
- Open the countCAM2 Toolbox and click the TRIM VIDEO button at the bottom of the main page.
- Select the video to trim using the dropdown list on the left of the program or by changing the starting folder tree using the button on the top right.
- Once the video is selected a screenshot of the video will appear to the right
- Enter the start date and time of the video as shown in the screenshot. The end date and time will automatically populate.
- Two new start/stop date and time sections will appear at the bottom of the program.
- Enter the desired start/stop date and time for the video file and click TRIM to start trimming the video.
- The trimming process will occur in the background and may take several minutes to complete. The process is complete when a new file appears in the video list, shown to the left of the start/stop date and time area. The file will have the same name as the original video file with "-t" at the end.
- Check the trimmed video file to ensure it opens and runs without errors. Once confirmed delete the original file.
